Pink Sunday

Watching paint dry is an underrated activity; and how often can you do it in the lovely confines of Cass Park?  This Sunday, August 22nd, 2010 will be your opportunity.  The sculpture "Pink Landscape―Three Trusses Plus" will be restored to its rightful color on this day.  James Lawton, the artist of the piece, will be here to guide the process.  We will begin around 10:00 a.m. with a primer coat before breaking for lunch. The pink will probably be applied sometime after 1:00 p.m. and this is when the real watching-paint-dry experience begins.  Everyone is welcome to join us for this excitement.  Anytime between 1:00 and 3:00 should be a good time to show up; unless you're a primer fan, then by all means show up at 10:00 a.m.

  3. I am sad to report I will not attend. :(
Between a.m. church and cooking with my visiting Panamanian mother-in-law, I am out of commission today. Bummed, but glad for you who will be there for the experience. Looking forward to the next art intervention. Take lots of pictures.

  5. It was just about perfect in my opinion, but I missed the priming. The pink paint went on like a charm.
